FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Golden Glassworks Bullseye Glass Procurement Program.

About the Program

What is the Bullseye Glass Procurement Program?

The Bullseye Glass Procurement Program is a bulk purchasing service operated by Golden Glassworks.

Rather than every artist importing Bullseye Glass individually, customer orders are combined into a single international shipment. This simplifies the ordering process, reduces administration and allows participating customers to share freight costs.

Why did Golden Glassworks create this program?

As glass artists ourselves, we understand how expensive and complicated it can be to import small quantities of Bullseye Glass into Australia.

This program was created to make ordering easier, more transparent and more accessible for Australian artists, studios, schools and institutions.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from:

  • Glass artists
  • Hobbyists
  • Studios
  • Schools
  • Universities
  • Community organisations
  • Other legitimate users of Bullseye Glass

Why do I need to apply?

The procurement program operates differently from a traditional online store.

Applications allow us to manage customer records, procurement rounds, communication and billing while ensuring the program operates efficiently for all participants.

Does approval mean I have to order?

No.

Approval simply gives you access to participate in future procurement rounds.

There is no obligation to place an order.

Can my application be declined?

Yes.

Golden Glassworks reserves the right to approve or decline applications where necessary to ensure the procurement program operates safely, fairly and efficiently.

Ordering

How often do procurement rounds occur?

Our current intention is to operate approximately three procurement rounds each year.

Exact dates may vary depending on supplier schedules and operational requirements.

Can I order at any time?

Orders are accepted during active procurement rounds.

Outside these periods, you’re welcome to prepare your product list ready for the next procurement round.

Is there a minimum order?

At present there is no formal minimum order.

However, Golden Glassworks may review unusually small or impractical orders where administration or freight costs become unreasonable.

Can I order any Bullseye product?

Generally, yes.

Orders are subject to Bullseye Glass product availability and any supplier packaging or production requirements.

Some products may occasionally be discontinued, temporarily unavailable or subject to supplier restrictions.

Can I order full crates or bulk quantities?

Yes.

Customers are welcome to order full crates, bulk quantities or larger commercial orders, subject to Bullseye Glass product availability and supplier packaging requirements.

If you’re planning a large order, we recommend contacting us before the procurement round so we can help plan the most efficient ordering and freight arrangements.

Can I combine my order with another artist?

Yes.

If you’d like to combine your order with another participating customer, please let us know before invoices are issued.

Combined orders may simplify delivery or collection arrangements and, in some cases, reduce local distribution costs.

Each customer will continue to receive their own individual invoice unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

What happens if Bullseye can’t supply something?

Occasionally Bullseye Glass may discontinue a product, suspend production or limit availability.

If this happens, we’ll contact you to discuss the available options.

Depending on the situation, these may include:

  • selecting an alternative product;
  • reducing quantities;
  • postponing the item to a future procurement round; or
  • receiving a refund for the unavailable product.

Can I change my order?

Usually, yes.

Changes can normally be made before the consolidated Bullseye order has been submitted.

Once the supplier order has been placed, changes may no longer be possible.

Pricing & Billing

Why are prices shown in Australian Dollars?

Golden Glassworks invoices customers in Australian Dollars to provide pricing certainty and simplify payment.

Why is your exchange rate different from Google?

The exchange rate used for procurement is based on the expected cost of purchasing products in USD and may include banking costs, payment provider charges and reasonable protection against exchange-rate movement between invoicing and supplier payment.

For this reason, it may differ from publicly displayed exchange rates.

What is the Procurement Fee?

The Procurement Fee helps cover the administration of the procurement program, including supplier coordination, customer support, billing, freight coordination and ongoing development of the service.

The current standard Procurement Fee is 20%, unless another arrangement has been agreed.

Why are there two invoices?

The first invoice covers your Bullseye Glass order.

The second invoice covers freight, importation and Australian distribution costs.

Freight cannot usually be calculated accurately until the consolidated shipment has been confirmed, so it is invoiced separately.

When do I pay the freight invoice?

The freight invoice is generally issued before the shipment is available for delivery or collection.

Goods cannot be released until the freight invoice has been paid.

How do you calculate freight?

Freight is allocated fairly across the consolidated shipment.

The calculation considers factors such as:

  • the weight of your order;
  • the value of your order;
  • the total shipment cost;
  • packing and crate allocation;
  • product type; and
  • delivery or collection requirements.

Because every procurement round is different, freight costs will vary from shipment to shipment.

Our goal is to allocate freight as fairly and consistently as possible across all participating customers.

Because freight is shared across many customers, the cost is typically much lower than arranging an individual international shipment.

Shipping & Collection

Can I have my order delivered?

Where available, yes.

Delivery options may vary depending on your location and the procurement round.

Can I collect my order?

Yes.

Collection locations will be advised for each procurement round where collection is available.

Can someone else collect my order?

Yes.

Please let us know beforehand so we know who is authorised to collect your order on your behalf.

Can I become a collection point for my region?

Yes.

We’re always interested in hearing from studios, schools and organisations that would like to become a regional collection point.

Collection points can help reduce freight costs, simplify distribution and strengthen local glass communities.

Whether an additional collection point is required will depend on existing locations, customer demand and the practical logistics for your region.

If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you.

How long does shipping take?

International procurement involves manufacturing, packing, international freight, customs and Australian distribution.

Estimated delivery timeframes will vary for each procurement round.

Why can’t you provide an exact delivery date?

International shipping depends on many organisations and factors outside the control of Golden Glassworks.

Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees.

Damage & Returns

What should I do if my glass arrives damaged?

Inspect your order as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery or collection.

If damage is identified, please contact Golden Glassworks promptly and provide photographs of the damaged glass and packaging.

Please retain the packaging until we’ve had an opportunity to assess the issue.

What if something is missing?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your invoice number and details of the missing items.

We’ll investigate the issue and work towards an appropriate resolution.

Can I return products?

Because products are ordered specifically for each procurement round, change-of-mind returns are generally not available once the Bullseye order has been placed.

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for full details.

Membership

Do I need to order every procurement round?

No.

Participation is entirely optional.

Order only when you need glass.

Will my approval expire?

Generally, no.

However, Golden Glassworks may occasionally review inactive accounts or request updated customer information to ensure our records remain accurate.

Can my studio have more than one account?

Generally, each participating customer, studio or organisation should maintain a single account.

If multiple people within the same organisation require procurement access, please contact us so we can discuss the most appropriate arrangement.

Looking Ahead

Will you offer other glass suppliers?

Our current focus is on operating a successful Bullseye Glass Procurement Program.

As the program develops, Golden Glassworks may expand to additional suppliers where there is sufficient demand.

Will the program expand outside New South Wales?

That’s certainly our intention.

Our priority is to establish a reliable procurement system before expanding into additional states and territories.

General

Do you hold Bullseye Glass in stock?

No.

The procurement program is based on consolidated ordering rather than maintaining standing inventory.

Products are generally ordered specifically for each procurement round and are not available for immediate dispatch.

Can I see Bullseye Glass before ordering?

Golden Glassworks does not operate a traditional retail showroom.

If you’re unsure about a particular product, we recommend referring to the Bullseye Glass catalogue or contacting us before placing your order. Where possible, we’re happy to help answer product questions or discuss suitable options.
